Who Qualifies
Pennsylvania law (75 Pa.C.S. § 1799.2) requires insurers to give at least a 5% discount for 3 years to drivers 55 and older who complete a PennDOT-approved course. Every named insured on the policy must be 55 or older, and some insurers give more than 5%. The insurance discount applies to courses on PennDOT's approved provider list. Check with your insurance company to confirm your discount eligibility.

Is this course PennDOT approved?
Yes. PennDOT approved this course on September 29, 2026. PennDOT's public provider list is being updated and should show our course soon. After you finish, you'll get a certificate of completion to give your insurance company.
How much will I save and how long does it last?
Pennsylvania law sets a minimum of 5% for 3 years for approved courses. Your insurer sets the exact amount.
Can my insurer take the discount away?
In some cases, yes; ask your agent.
I'm under 55. Can I take the course?
